Feeding Instructions

Jump Start:

Pelleted form.

Suggested feeding rate:

Young growing – 4 to 6 ounces per day.

Compromised/rescued individual – 8 ounces per day

Mares:

Breeding mares – 8 ounces per day 60 days prior to breeding and until confirmed in foal. Once confirmed in foal may switch over to the regular Equi-Shine Pellets, Equi-Shine Granular or Equi-Shine Ultimate.

Pregnant mares – 8 ounces per day 60 days prior to foaling and continue until either 60 days post partum or confirmed back in foal.

Older mares – 8 ounces per day through the entire pregnancy and until the foal has been weaned.

Stallions:

Breeding stallions – 8 ounces per day 60 days prior to the start of breeding season and continue through breeding season.

Geriatric Horses – 4 ounces per day

4-ounce scoop enclosed.

 

GI Health:

Powder form.

Feed 2 ounces daily, splitting between 2 meals, AM and PM. Formulated to be fed along with a balanced diet.

This product should be protected from high heat and humidity. Best results if only a weeks’ worth is exposed to heat and humidity, store balance of product in either a refrigerator or freezer.

One ounce scoop enclosed.

 

Joint Ease:

Powder form.  

Athletes Feed 2 ounces per horse daily, (1 ounce in the morning and 1 ounce in the evening)

Idle Feed 1 ounce per day

Enclosed scoop holds 1 ounce.

Cautions:
Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. If animal’s condition worsens, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian. An examination from a veterinarian is recommended prior to using this product. Not to be used with blood-thinners. May be hypoglycemic. Use with caution with cardiac glycosides and MAO inhibitors and in animals with hypertension. May be contraindicated in subjects with hypertension and anxiety. Use with caution in conjunction with insulin or antidiabetic drugs. Not for use with anticoagulants. Absorption of drugs taken simultaneously may be delayed.
